LCUS Advantage

Though academically challenging, traditional universities have left students unprepared for the challenges of actual ministry in these “last of the last days.” Bible Institutes, on the other hand, often offer practical tips, but little sound academic education in the Bible.

Life Christian University’s goal is to combine the traditional high academic standards of full collegiate programs of baccalaureate, graduate and post graduate studies, with the practicality of the Bible Institute approach. Combine this with the ability to continue to work in your own local church, as well as at your current job, and you have a “winning approach” to the issue of continuing Bible education!

Life Christian University was founded in Tampa, Florida by the former Dean of a major Christian university. Frustrated by the lack of solid, Word of Faith based curriculum, he founded Life Christian University. Since then, the single local University campus in Tampa has grown into a system of over twenty-three University extension campuses throughout the United States, and abroad. Life Christian University is fully accredited by ACI, the Accrediting Commission International, which is the accrediting agency for most non-government regulated unaffiliated Christian universities.

Life Christian University is a Word of Faith based degree program. Specific programs may be tailored to the individual based on his interests, educational background, and life experience. Courses of study not taught locally may be picked up via our distance learning program through the main campus in Tampa, Florida.

The local Extension Campus of Life Christian University, here in Concord, holds classes at the Church of the Trinity’s facility, providing a convenient place to attend classes for the Concord area.  Each course carries three semester hours of credit.

The Concord Campus offers a transfer program for students who have received their Liberal Arts training at other universities. Bible school credits are also transferable. Life Christian University also accepts credit for life experience of qualified candidates with documented ministry experience. Credits for such experience will be determined on a case-by-case basis by the main campus.

The Concord Campus offers the following degree programs: Diploma, Associate Degree, Graduate Certificate, Bachelor of Arts, Masters of Arts, Ph.D., and Ed.D. Non-degree programs are also available for personal growth.

Courses are taught on a monthly basis with a total of nine courses completing a degree year. An additional three hours are obtained by completing 72 hours per year of volunteer work at your own local church. This practicum is a valuable part of your educational curriculum. These thirty hours constitute one year of study. A Bachelors degree requires 120 hours of course work. The Masters and Doctoral programs vary according to the program selected.
